Senior Finance Analyst – Global Security and Defence Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours per week Line of Business: Finance Pay Range: $81,600 - $115,200 CAD This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance. Job Description The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager supporting the Global Security and Defence (GSD) team under the Protect Platform. This role is responsible for overseeing monthly financial reporting, conducting in‑depth financial analysis, and assisting with forecasting and planning initiatives. The candidate will ensure that operational and strategic decisions are aligned with financial objectives to drive shareholder value. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the GSD team, TD Business Operations, and Vendor Management to evaluate business requirements and develop comprehensive annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts. Analyze actual monthly financial results versus budget and forecast, identify key variance drivers, trends, and risks/opportunities. Prepare executive‑level financial presentations and regularly brief the GSD leadership team to provide clear visibility into current and projected financial performance. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls through diligent review of transactions and execution of necessary ledger entries. Monitor vendor costs, contracts, and licensing costs, ensuring expenditures align with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives. Undertake ad hoc assignments such as reviewing business cases to validate financial input and impact against existing expense baseline, updating the financial reporting model, and ensuring alignment with organizational changes. Drive continuous improvement and innovation to enhance financial reporting insights, transparency, and efficiency while reducing workload and cycle times. Skills and Competencies Highly skilled in Financial Planning & Analysis. Strong relationship‑building and partnership skills across business units. Effective written and verbal communication, facilitation, and consensus‑building. Leadership and ownership of processes and results. Highly organized with excellent time‑management. Ability to distill large amounts of data into meaningful information with minimal supervision. Thrives in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment. Manages multiple projects/tasks concurrently. Expertise in accounting guidelines and rules. Education and Experience University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. Completed or working toward CPA, CFA, or other financial designations is advantageous. 5+ years of professional experience in financials, analytics, or accounting. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and financial reporting systems such as Hyperion SmartView or Oracle Business Intelligence (Tableau/Alteryx beneficial). Work Activities Blend of collaborative and individual deliverables. Expected to be onsite 4 days a week starting November 3, 2025.
