About the Role We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to protect our multi‑tenant SaaS platform. You will work across our suite of products, collaborating with engineering and product teams to identify and mitigate security threats, maintain scanning tools, and share secure patterns. Technology Stack Our web application is a Ruby on Rails monolith with Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Memcached, and a Node.js web server for real‑time features. We host on AWS using ECS, and we use React for rich client experiences. Your Experience The primary focus of this role is web application security, so you should be deeply knowledgeable about vulnerabilities and mitigations, and familiar with securing data in multi‑tenant architectures. Skills & Qualifications 4+ years in application security. Active collaborator with engineering and product teams. Experience with security reviews or threat modeling for full‑stack web apps. Experience with security tools such as CodeQL or Burp Suite. Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus. Kind, humble, eager to learn, and willing to help teammates. Responsibilities Identify application security threats and mitigations early. Improve and maintain security code scanning tools. Contribute to application security scanning or testing. Develop and share secure patterns internally for ongoing education. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range in the U.S.: $110,000 – $190,000. Cash compensation also includes profit sharing, retirement contributions, and the following benefits: Medical, dental, and vision plans (many teammates covered 100% of premiums). Up to 200 hours of paid time off a year. 30‑90 days of paid parental leave, 5‑10 days of paid care and bereavement leave. Up to $1,000 annual education stipend and paid time off for learning.
