RFP 25-003 – Finance Transformation Workstream Lead (SAP S/4HANA) Requisition ID: 54994Location: Oshawa, ON (100% On-Site) Position Overview We are currently requesting resumes for the position of Finance Transformation Workstream Lead (SAP S/4HANA). This role will provide end-to-end leadership for the Finance workstream within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation. The successful candidates will serve as senior business leads, ensuring finance processes, data, controls, and user adoption are successfully delivered in alignment with organizational objectives and SAP best practices. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep finance and accounting expertise, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and proven experience delivering ERP-enabled finance transformations. Key Responsibilities Lead the Finance workstream across all phases of the SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, including planning, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support. Own Finance workstream deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution, ensuring alignment with overall program milestones. Act as the primary liaison between Finance business stakeholders, the system integrator, and internal project teams. Facilitate effective decision-making by ensuring clear communication, alignment on priorities, and resolution of business and technical challenges. Business Process Design & Optimization Lead and facilitate finance and accounting workshops to define, document, and optimize end-to-end finance processes. Ensure process designs align with SAP S/4HANA standard functionality, best practices, internal controls, and organizational objectives. Data Migration & Validation Actively participate in finance data preparation, cleansing, migration, reconciliation, and validation activities. Ensure data quality, completeness, and integrity across all finance-related data objects. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and execute business process and user acceptance testing strategies. Lead defect identification, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with IT, system integrators, and business teams. Training & Change Enablement Develop finance-specific training materials and deliver hands-on training sessions for end users. Support change management activities to drive adoption, readiness, and transition to new ways of working. Cross-Functional Integration Collaborate closely with other business and IT workstreams to ensure seamless integration of finance processes with upstream and downstream functions. Compliance, Controls & Governance Ensure finance processes and deliverables comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit standards, and company policies. Provide hands-on leadership and support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases. Troubleshoot finance-related issues and ensure business continuity during the transition period. Qualifications Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent professional accounting designation. Proven experience leading Finance workstreams within SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP implementation programs. Deep, hands-on knowledge of end-to-end finance and accounting processes. Demonstrated experience working directly with system integrators and cross-functional project teams. Strong experience in finance data migration, business testing, and user training. Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Project management experience is considered an asset.
