Our innovation is a patented platform biotech that biofabricates customizable microbial dye to the need of end industry user. Our dyes reduce water pollution, are safe for workers as well as the ecosystem, and eliminate our dependence on non-renewable resources. The product offers an overhaul to the dye industry to shift from one of the preeminent polluters to a regenerative and more humane industry. Our main goal is to transform the dye industry from a toxic and hazardous industry to a clean, healthy, and circular one by introducing the future of dye manufacturing. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize novel dye, pigment, and coating formulations for targeted applications (e.g., textiles, plastics, inks, and more). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop innovative new colour products. Conduct lab‑scale validation studies to evaluate colour performance, compatibility, stability, and processability across various substrates and systems. Lead stability and weathering investigations and conduct in‑depth analysis and assessment of their physico‑chemical and spectral properties including colour properties analyses, colour‑fastness, durability testing, and assessing the performance of the dyes on the target materials. Translate lab‑scale formulations into pilot‑scale production through systematic process optimization and reproducibility testing. Develop dye formulations and processes, evaluate the scientific and industrial patent landscape for specialty performance additives to resolve processing issues or to enhance colour performance properties. Support technology transfer by preparing technical packages, SOPs, and scale‑up protocols for external manufacturing partners. Collaborate with brand and partner R&D teams to tailor formulations for specific product lines or manufacturing systems. Work with our Production Department to ensure that all formulations are accurate and process‑friendly. Establish formulation standards, QC specifications, and product acceptance criteria for commercialization. Explore new synthesis methods or modify existing protocols to enhance dye performance and stability. Work with regulatory and product compliance teams to ensure materials meet environmental, safety, and performance requirements. Identify and propose new opportunities for innovation. Requirements: Completed a PhD degree in Chemistry, Bio‑Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Color Science or a related field; or a Master’s degree in any of the above areas plus at least 2 years practical industry experience in the colourant chemistry or textile dye formulation industries. Previous experience in chemical synthesis, including setting up reactions, optimizing reaction conditions, and ensuring accurate execution. Proficient in monitoring reaction progress using analytical techniques such as TLC, spectroscopy (e.g., UV‑Vis, IR), or chromatography, and interpreting results to ensure desired outcomes. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize methods and identify and address bottlenecks: creative problem‑solving skills. Be detail oriented, flexible and collaborative. Interest in sustainable colour science and textile processing. Ability to translate and apply new technologies to an industrial scalable process. Ability to succeed in a dynamic, highly collaborative R&D environment. Excellent communication skills (written and oral presentations) and competent with electronic lab note tools. Always be seeking ways to improve the performance and efficiency of dye formulations. Have an in‑depth knowledge of safety protocols, handle chemicals properly, and ensure that the formulations comply with environmental and health standards. A proven track record of creative scientific accomplishment as evidenced by a strong publication and/or patent record.
