We are hiring TWO Family Law Associate Lawyers Come work with us, as we refresh, grow, and continue our decades of general awesomeness. About the Firm Ricketts Harris LLP is a full-service law firm with 24 lawyers and a bustling Family Law group. We are looking to add 2 Family Law Associates with 2-8 years' experience to our incredible group. Our lawyers are leaders in their field and will expose you to a wide range of family law matters. This position offers a terrific opportunity to grow your skills, take ownership and leadership on files, and help manage complex matters. We also happen to offer a friendly, thoughtful work environment and competitive salary and benefits. Highlights We look to hire and train future partners/business owners. We provide associates with opportunities to learn the business of law (from understanding financials to firm-wide lawyers’ meetings where we discuss business issues), as well as legal practice fundamentals. We expect that you will deal directly with clients, both on your own files and as part of a team. We provide associates with marketing budgets, and work with you to learn how to build and grow a practice. We encourage associates to spend as much time in the office as possible – to learn and create connections – while also supporting hybrid work. We offer considerable mentorship, and you will have a strong peer network within the family law group and the firm, broadly. Qualifications Our ideal candidates have 2–8 years of experience in family law and are able to manage files from inception through to the Superior Court level, both independently and as part of a team. You have strong written advocacy and legal research skills, and are proficient with Divorcemate. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills. You are entrepreneurial and have a demonstrated interest in networking, business development, and profile-building. You are a team-player, willing to help out with the little things that help to make our firm both fun and functional; from organizing marketing events to pitching in with our Thoughtfulness Committee, and more. We promise to involve you in complex, high-quality work for top-tier clients, supported by an experienced and collaborative family law team comprised of terrific, seasoned clerks and administrative staff. Our group is also looking to expand its senior complement of lawyers.
