What You’ll Be Responsible For Strategic & Organizational Finance Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership, supporting decision-making through clear financial analysis and advice Contribute to long-range planning, financial sustainability, and risk management initiatives Support leaders across the organization in understanding financial impacts and trade-offs Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee all core accounting activities, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards Manage external audit processes and relationships Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis Lead organization-wide budgeting and forecasting processes Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights Support cash flow management and forward-looking financial analysis Systems, Controls & Governance Strengthen financial controls, policies, and documentation Improve finance systems, reporting tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and transparency Ensure compliance with regulatory, funding, and reporting requirements relevant to the not-for-profit sector Lead, coach, and develop a multi-level finance team Set clear performance expectations and support professional growth Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Stakeholder & Board Support Prepare financial materials for executive leadership and governance committees Attend meetings as required and present financial information in a clear and accessible manner What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Economics, or a related field 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing teams Experience in not-for-profit accounting and financial reporting (strongly preferred) Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, audit management, and internal controls Ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders Strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail Excellent communication and relationship-building skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
