Post End Date: January 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM About the Role We are seeking a quantitatively trained Post Doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences to work on a funded team study focused on youth mental health, equity, and inclusion in the school context. This position will be required to engage with partners (Public Health Agency of Canada, Public Health Ontario, Ophea, and schools) and youth to identify, co-create, and mobilize quantitative evidence using existing survey data from a large ongoing longitudinal study. The Post Doctoral Fellow will also lead the quantitative evaluation of a youth engagement model embedded within the research that will be implemented at the national and local level (in schools). The Post Doctoral Fellow will: Oversee the project coordination and communication with team; Assist with project administration including ethics applications and approvals; Lead the quantitative evaluation of the multi-level youth engagement model (e.g., data analysis, knowledge mobilization); Conduct quantitative data analysis to topics related to youth mental health, equity, and inclusion; Lead publications, reports, and presentations of study results based on partner and youth identified priorities; Lead additional knowledge mobilization activities (both academic and non-academic); Indirectly mentor and supervise Research Assistants and graduate students. Key Skills and Experience PhD in a relevant discipline and expertise in child and youth health research with a focus on mental health and/or health equity; Demonstrated understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) principles in relation to child and youth health research; Experience conducting quantitative sex and gender-based analysis plus (SGBA+) and/or quantitative intersectionality analyses; Demonstrated knowledge mobilization experience, including both academic (e.g., peer-reviewed articles) and non‑academic (e.g., reports and presentations) outputs. Preferred or Asset Skills Prior experience working with large‑scale survey data; Experience working on youth engagement projects; Experience working with research partners. Salary and Total Rewards Target hiring range: $45,000-$65,000; This is a temporary research position that includes: Health & Dental Benefits: Extended health, dental, and vision coverage. Vacation: Up to 2 weeks per year, in addition to university holidays.
