Actuary - Property and Casualty (P&C): On behalf of our Insurance client, Procom is searching for an Actuary - Property and Casualty (P&C) for a 5 month contract role. This position is a Hybrid position requiring 2 days per week onsite. Job Description: Candidates will provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, IFRS 17, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, pricing, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Responsibilities: • Support appointed actuary deliverables, including IFRS 17 liabilities and MCT guidelines • Provide audit support • Conduct policy liability valuation and financial condition testing • Engage in hands-on pricing or predictive modeling • Utilize reserving or statistical applications such as Arius, R, or @Risk Mandatory Skills: • Extensive experience as a P&C actuary • Qualified Actuary (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries) • IFRS 17 experience • Hands-on pricing or predictive modeling experience • Proficiency in reserving or statistical applications such as Arius, R, or @Risk • Strong written and oral communication skills • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking/project management skills Nice-to-Have Skills: • Bilingual proficiency in English and French • Prior experience within a consulting or advisory role • Continuous improvement mindset • Experience presenting in a business context • Keen on creating a strategic direction/vision for the group Assignment Length: This is a 5 month contract position. Start Date: ASAP. Assignment Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite, Montreal or Toronto
