Employer Relationship Specialist – Open Door Group Open Door Group (ODG), a trailblazing non-profit organization serving communities across Canada, is looking for an Employer Relationship Specialist to join our team in downtown Edmonton. Base pay range: CA$30.00/hr – CA$31.00/hr. Position: Full‑Time, Permanent (36 hours per week). Anticipated start date: January 5, 2026. Posting closing date: November 23, 2025. Open Door Group’s Edmonton Pathways Program is launching a new office focused on helping job seekers with diverse abilities connect to meaningful employment. This role offers the opportunity to shape a brand‑new team, build community connections, and create real impact. Responsibilities: The Employer Relationship Specialist cultivates and maintains strong partnerships with employers to drive employment outcomes for clients accessing our services. Key responsibilities include: Proactively identifying and engaging prospective employer clients. Providing targeted marketing and placement support to case managers. Facilitating rapid job matching, work connections, and customized placement. Maintaining relationships with employers through clear communication and strategic outreach. Using job‑matching tools and databases to connect candidates with the right roles. Traveling as required; access to a motor vehicle is essential. Qualifications: Diploma in Marketing/Sales, Business, or Human Resources (or equivalent). Recent, related experience of at least three (3) years, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle. Positive criminal background check. Strong relationship‑building and consultative sales skills. Knowledge of local labor market trends and ability to spot business opportunities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to present to diverse audiences. Organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common employment databases. Understanding of Disability, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) employer resources and human rights legislation.
