Position Summary The Clinical Lead is expected to be a proficient clinician, reporting to and taking direction from the Ambulatory Care (AC) Services initiatives in alignment with the program’s clinical services plan and the organization’s strategic objectives. The Clinical Lead will collaborate with the Program Manager and Program Director to identify areas for improvement within their department. Upon direction from the Program Manager, the Clinical Lead will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of selected quality improvement initiatives. This clinical lead is expected to provide both operational and clinical support within AC@ Midtown (MT) for Fracture Clinic, Hand Upper Extremity Program (HUEP), Minor Operation Procedures (MOP), Gyne Laser, Gyne Specialty, and Spine. Position Requirements / Responsibilities Lead and sustain quality improvement and process improvement initiatives. Follow up and close RL6 files (Levels 1, 2, 3), consulting with Program Manager as may be indicated. Assist with UKG monitoring, adjust, input payroll and submit every 2 weeks. Monitor supplies and equipment, make adjustments to resources required on an ongoing basis, and annually during call for capital. Follow up on broken and non‑functioning equipment to ensure repairs are requested and completed. Perform monthly department inspection and follow up on any occupational health and safety concerns noted in the department. Support employee recruitment, selection, retention, and professional development. Anticipate emergent and future issues/changes and provide leadership and vision in short‑ and long‑term planning; contribute to strategic planning at all levels. Provide leadership in the development of the Ambulatory Care strategic roadmap, complete gap analysis and lead expansion planning proposals with oversight from the Program Manager. Participate in monthly budget reviews with the program leadership team to identify issues that may affect a balanced portfolio budget. Collaborate with the program leadership team in the ongoing review and analysis of the finances within the program to ensure adherence to the operating plan targets. Coach and mentor team members in the provision of safe, quality care through vehicles such as patient care conferences, unit councils, team meetings, and on‑unit rounds. Qualifications Graduate of a regulated healthcare professional college. Master’s degree, either completed or in progress, in a relevant field; related coursework, certificates or additional training in quality improvement considered an asset. 4 years clinical experience with a minimum of 2 years working within an AC department. Employee expected to be fully competent after 6 months of on‑the‑job training, including time receiving coaching and mentorship from the department Clinical Manager.
