We currently have an opportunity available for the Clinical Education Lead to join our Teams. Hours of Work: DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS INCLUDING STAT HOLIDAYS. ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Team Lead, Ultrasound, the Clinical Education Lead ensures a varied and complete clinical experience for Ultrasound students. This position supervises, assesses and evaluates student progress including progress with their technical skills. The CEL will also assist the Team Leader with organizing ongoing Ultrasound rounds. The Clinical Education Lead acts as a liaison between students and the accredited education facility and the Medical Imaging Department. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Education and QualificationsGraduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology Program (community college or university degree)Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and ImagingTechnologists of Ontario (CMRITO)RVT designation preferredRDMS (Ab, Ob/Gyn) and/or CRGS certification requiredCollege teaching certificate is preferredThree (3) to five (5) years of working experience is preferredDemonstrated relevant and recent continuing educationAbility to work in a fast-paced team environment is essentialStrong work ethic and good attendance record Support for Team MembersA thorough onboarding and orientation programOngoing training and development opportunitiesAccess to our Ongoing Education FundCareer mentorshipWellness programs Health and Safety and EquityAs part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Grand River Hospital requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
