Full‑Time Facilitator – Professional Competency Development (Human Services) – Imagine Institute for Learning Location: Hybrid (in-person facilitation across Alberta with some remote work) About Imagine Institute for Learning Imagine Institute for Learning is a values-driven organization dedicated to strengthening the human services sector through trauma-informed, relationship-based, and psychologically safe learning experiences. We work with frontline professionals, supervisors, and leaders to build professional competencies that support staff well‑being, effective practice, and healthier organizational cultures. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Facilitator to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who brings both real‑world human services experience and a strong ability to facilitate engaging, practical, and reflective learning experiences for professionals across diverse sectors. You will deliver training across multiple sectors and roles, helping individuals and organizations build skills in communication, creating healthy boundaries, trauma-informed practice, de‑escalation, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Facilitate interactive, evidence-informed training sessions for adult learners across the human services sector. Deliver training to frontline staff, supervisors, and leaders in mixed and role‑specific groups. Adapt facilitation approaches to different audiences, learning styles, and group dynamics. Contribute to continuous improvement through participant feedback and reflection. Represent Imagine Institute professionally and in alignment with its values. Support learning in areas such as: Trauma‑informed and relationship‑based practice Professional boundaries and ethical decision‑making Communication, de‑escalation, and conflict navigation Psychological safety and team dynamics Self‑regulation, resilience, and reflective practice Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Education, Adult Learning, Health Sciences, Community Development, Human Services). Minimum 5 years of experience working in the human services sector. Minimum 3 years of experience facilitating adult learning, training, or professional development. Assets Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred. Training or certification in adult education, facilitation, coaching, trauma‑informed practice, or conflict resolution. Experience facilitating across multiple human service settings. Knowledge Strong understanding of adult learning principles. Knowledge of trauma‑informed and relational practice. Content expertise in one or more areas (e.g., mental health, human development, interpersonal skills, etc.). Skills Excellent facilitation, communication, and group engagement skills. Ability to navigate complex or sensitive topics with professionalism and care. Skilled at translating theory into practical, real‑world application. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Personal Qualities Grounded, friendly and relational in approach. Reflective, adaptable, and growth‑oriented. Values psychological safety, inclusion, and respect. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $70,000 – $77,000 annually, commensurate with education, experience, and facilitation expertise. Benefits & Supports Include: Health Spending Account and Group Insurance Benefits following probationary period. Two weeks paid vacation and two weeks off at Christmas (4 weeks paid annually).
