POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing System Engineer POSITION SUMMARY: The System Engineer plays a significant role in overall site daily execution, leadership, strategy and future state systems development along working alongside of the business on innovation and product cost/design. This position will provide floor level technical leadership as an equipment, system, materials and product specialist. The System Engineer is responsible to identify, lead, develop, and execute solutions for performance improvements through strong business partnership, strategic productivity, capacity solutions and continuous improvement efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Identify and implement solutions to drive to zero waste and increase line performance while maintaining high standards of Human/Food Safety and Quality Demonstrate understanding of quality metrics, analysis methods and procedure Collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve customer quality issues related to manufacturing process issues. Owns the “Theory of Operations” demonstrating strong material, equipment, and product knowledge. Supports and leads capability development of the manufacturing team to identify, measure and drive out losses to deliver targeted line/system results. Develop and maintain material balances and unit operation capability information to ensure optimal production rates, parameters, and formulas. Partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Engineering/Maintenance to drive system improvements & reduce product overuse Identify, develop, lead & execute equipment and system improvements that deliver financial and performance benefits. (overuse reduction, reliability improvements) Develop and champion a system vision, technical road map and capital needs to support Long Range Plan Coach and provide technical expertise on foundational systems (process centerline, basic conditions, etc.) Apply technical knowledge, problem solving skills, and leadership to solve problems and drive improvements. Identify, develop, lead & execute equipment and system improvements that deliver financial and performance benefits. Participates in New Product Development process to evaluate concepts, design, prototype, test, and launch. Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes. Provide leadership in application of performance metrics (data accuracy) QUALIFICATIONS: Human and food safety proficiency Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering degrees preferred. 5 + years related work experience in technical roles within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrates ability to work with and influence diverse groups at various levels and across functions. Strong interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communications, and strong listening skills Demonstrates technical leadership, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills. PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available annual pay scale for this position is: $130,000-$140,000 per year. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
