The Blueprint The Vice President, Information Technology will provide strategic leadership for all the technology and process design in support of existing enterprise and new business initiatives – all under the guise of enabling innovation. The Vice President, Information Technology will translate the strategic challenges identified by the leadership team into demands for idea generation and solution in terms of business value created. To ensure the smooth day‑to‑day delivery of technical operations, drive organizational efficiencies and productivity through technical innovations as well as to deliver on the implementation of technology‑based business solutions that support the Tridel Group of Companies to achieve its vision and strategy. Technology Vision & Strategic Alignment Ensure alignment of IT objectives and programs to business and functional objectives. Analyze current technology infrastructure, user and business needs to recommend improvements. Provide technological guidance to solve business issues and ensure the Company is effectively positioned within its market. Recommend new technology solutions based on the ROI to the Company (increased revenue, cost containment, security risk reduction, and management control). Develop a long‑term as well as annual IT plan for approval in line with the Company’s vision and strategy. Innovation & Technology Delivery Excellence Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages. Support the organization’s ongoing digital transformation by helping the business identify and evaluate opportunities for AI adoption, with the goal of delivering scalable business value. Oversee IT related projects including the capture of business requirements, provisions of functional deliverables, milestone planning and lessons learned. Ensure the database infrastructure is optimized and that information workflow within the company and information provided to customers and partners is of the highest quality. Establish and operate company infrastructure to support all businesses in computing and information technology needs. Work closely with project managers and business leaders to ensure optimum allocation and utilization as well as prioritization of technology resources. Ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of projects that meet user needs. Work collaboratively with other departments and key stakeholders to maintain a high level of communication, understanding and customer satisfaction with the IT services. Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment. Leadership & Customer‑Centric IT Culture Act as a dynamic, hands‑on leader, directing the activities of the IT team. Define an appropriate organizational structure within the team and delegates effectively. Recruit and develop a team of high‑quality professionals to ensure optimum performance. Manage the performance and foster the accountability of the IT team. Ensure the IT team maintains their knowledge and expertise. Foster relationships with key external service providers as well as contractors to build a flexible team to meet the organization’s changing needs and priorities. Lead on‑site and outsourced developers in tying together in‑house applications and 3rd party solutions as required. Select and monitor benchmarking and other metrics. Enterprise Security & Risk Management Direct development and execution of enterprise‑wide information security plan that protects confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers. Direct the development and execution of an enterprise‑wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan and test that plan on a regular basis. Establish appropriate policies and standards including compliance with legislation as well as ensure that technology standards and best practices are being maintained across the company. Prepare and maintain up‑to‑date documentation on all systems and applications being used by the organization. The Architect of Your Success Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred 5‑7+ years in technology leadership and process design Proven success in leading tech projects and teams Expertise in strategic planning and IT‑business alignment Strong knowledge of security, risk management, and compliance Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving ability Excellent communication and collaboration skills Deep understanding of tech trends and infrastructure optimization Sound decision‑making and analytical capabilities Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities As you move forward with your application for a position at Tridel, we kindly request that applicants set aside 5‑10 uninterrupted minutes to complete the Predictive Index® Behavioural Assessment.
