Our client, a high‑performing and growth‑oriented organization in the group benefits space, is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Group Benefits to join its executive leadership team. This confidential search is for an influential leader who will drive strategy, growth, and operational excellence within the group benefits division. The ideal candidate is a senior group benefits/group insurance executive with deep expertise in group benefits, business development, and people leadership—someone who can shape the future of the business while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall strategy, sales, service, operations, and growth of the Group Benefits division. Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on profitability, client retention, and market expansion. Oversee sales, client service, and underwriting teams , ensuring strong alignment between client needs and business goals. Build and maintain strategic relationships with insurers, brokers, advisors, and clients. Drive innovation in product design, pricing, and service delivery to strengthen competitive positioning. Mentor and develop high‑performing teams , fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and professional growth. Ensure regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency within all group benefits functions. Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, M&A opportunities, and digital transformation projects. Represent the company at industry events and associations , reinforcing its reputation as a trusted market leader. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (MBA or equivalent an asset), with GBA, LLQP as assets. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within group benefits, employee benefits consulting, or insurance administration. Proven success in strategic business development and operations management. Strong knowledge of Canadian group benefits products, underwriting, and regulatory frameworks. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, manage change, and deliver measurable results. Why This Role?
