We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, full‑time, Laboratory Services Business Development Manager to join our team to grow our niche lab services footprint, brand awareness, and revenue. The Role FREDsense is seeking a PFAS Analytical Services Business Development Lead to accelerate the growth of our analytical and laboratory partnerships, with a focus on PFAS and emerging contaminants. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in analytical chemistry and laboratory operations to identify new business opportunities, build strategic collaborations, and drive adoption of FREDsense’s innovative testing methodologies across North America. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on knowledge of LC/MS PFAS analysis with the ability to build relationships, develop sales pipelines, and manage the customer journey from initial lead to long‑term strategic account. You’ll work closely with FREDsense’s product, operations, and marketing teams to position our rapid PFAS testing service as a market leader in turnaround speed and quality, while building the foundation for future FRED‑PFAS (field kit) product business potential. Key Responsibilities Lead business development initiatives for FREDsense’s laboratory‑focused solutions, with a primary emphasis on PFAS analysis. Develop go‑to‑market strategies and account plans to drive growth in the laboratory services segment. Identify and develop strategic relationships with environmental, contract, and industrial laboratories to expand service capabilities and revenue streams. Deliver quarterly targets as it relates to qualified leads, proposals, and closed deals. Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for active lab and industrial clients, ensuring satisfaction and renewal. Manage onboarding and client communications for new analytical testing contracts. Maintain structured account plans and growth forecasts for major clients. Gather client feedback and coordinate with the analytical lab services group to support continuous improvement. Represent FREDsense as Experts, and Participate in Thought Leadership Understand the scientific and operational challenges facing analytical labs and position FREDsense as a partner for customers. Serve as a subject matter expert in PFAS detection and analysis, contributing to webinars, white papers, conferences, and industry events. Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and R&D teams to translate customer feedback into product insights and innovation opportunities. Track, analyze, and report on market trends, competitive intelligence, and key performance metrics. Qualifications Post‑Secondary degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. in Chemistry with experience in PFAS would be preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory services, analytical chemistry, or environmental testing, with a strong familiarity with EPA 537.1, 1633, 8327, TOP and alternative PFAS testing method workflows is strongly preferred along with direct experience in the sales of these services to customers. Proven success in business development or technical sales, preferably in the environmental testing or analytical instrumentation sectors. Experience using CRM and AI‑driven tools for sales tracking and reporting. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value. Highly motivated self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and innovative environment. Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30% within the United States and Canada.
