Hours: Full time Department: Commercial Lines Location: Toronto At RRJ Insurance Group Limited / KRGinsure , we’re looking for a dynamic Team Lead for our Toronto SME Commercial Risk Placement Team. In this role, you will be a senior resource and mentor to the team, handling a book of commercial clients and responsible for creating, securing, and delivering top‑notch insurance programmes. Primary Responsibilities Active senior resource for Commercial SME risk placement brokers Handle file escalations Participate in the development and growth of individual team members Effectively service a book of assigned commercial clients Work effectively with sales and senior account managers Complete coverage‑gap analysis Effective cross‑sell and up‑sell Negotiate valuable insurance programmes for commercial clients Qualifications Required RIBO licence, active and in good standing, is required Minimum three years of commercial insurance brokerage experience Minimum three years experience in a Team Lead position Knowledge of specialty products and/or segment needs would be an asset (e.g. Cyber, D&O, E&O, etc.) Other industry qualifications, such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc., would be considered an asset Post‑secondary education would be considered an asset Skills & Attributes Required Exceptional customer service skills with strong business acumen Sales‑driven approach to account management, the ability to identify coverage gaps, and upsell/cross‑sell Strong analytical skills Must be a team player and have strong work ethic Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Organised with effective time‑management skills Self‑directed and able to coordinate multiple placements for large multi‑line accounts Ability to use creativity in structuring product proposals and documentation Advanced computer skills with experience in MS Office, EPIC, Applied Systems Benefits Hybrid work flexibility Matching Group RRSP contributions Two paid personal days each year Professional membership fees (including RIBO, IBAO, IIC) Professional development and educational reimbursement Free parking and professional office space RRJ Insurance Group Limited is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a workplace reflecting the diversity of the communities it serves.
