Role Overview Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, the Support Group Facilitator is responsible for the key leadership of a local ALS or PLS support group. Groups provide an open, friendly, and safe environment for ALS/PLS patients, family members and/or caregivers to discuss issues related to living with ALS/PLS. Qualifications Good communication skills both written and verbal (English) Thorough understanding of group dynamics and process Able to work independently, and in small groups Organized Excellent personal boundaries and ethics Able to maintain confidentiality & respect the individual needs of group members Comfort & knowledge using a computer and Email Experience facilitating small groups Work Arrangement Work remotely Monthly Ongoing Benefits Volunteers will be able to create effective presentations, meet new people, and gain valuable leadership experience.
