If you love problem solving and demystifying technical challenges to empower others, this is your opportunity to make a real difference. Join us and help shape the future of data-driven decision-making in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. Role Summary Step into the spotlight: We’re hiring both a Senior Data Analyst and an Intermediate Data Analyst to join our energetic, future-focused team. In these pivotal roles, you\'ll partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams—spanning technical and non-technical disciplines—to unleash the transformative power of data. Together, you’ll craft innovative data solutions and uncover insights that directly shape strategy, empower smarter decisions, and fuel our growth and innovation engine. Work Model We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes. What You’ll Do Be the go-to data expert for business decision support: Conduct problem research, deep-dive analysis, apply advanced analytics and ML techniques to uncover trends and insights, design high-impact reports and visuals to tell compelling data stories that inspire action and shape our offerings and operations. Lead the way on strategic projects: Tackle complex challenges and enable data solutions using standard and advanced analytics, automation, business intelligence, opportunity analysis, forecasting, and simulations. Innovate for tomorrow: Design and implement experiments that directly influence our customer experience, helping us stay ahead of the curve. Spot new analytics opportunities that propel our business forward, improve our practices to increase business outcomes and be the catalyst for positive change. Build the tools of transformation: Help us get to the future by gradually developing and maintaining scalable reporting and machine learning models that empower business and tech teams with self-serve access to actionable descriptive and predictive insights. Become a trusted advisor: Build a deep understanding of needs and goals of our stakeholders, help see possibilities, guide through complexity, influence decisions and develop data solutions to help business succeed. Champion for growth and collaboration: Nurture the analytics community, help establish new standards, best practices and frameworks, mentor and inspire fellow analysts by sharing knowledge, peer reviews, and brainstorming sessions. What We’re Looking For Proven analytics expertise: (4+ years for Senior, 2+ years for Intermediate) managing end-to-end data analytics—from data transformation and automation, through deep-dive exploration and analysis, to designing powerful reports, ML simulations and impactful business insights, especially in a retail environment. Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking: You shine at breaking down a business problem into a data problem and solving it using optimal and most cost-efficient approach, be it via applying simple statistical methods, modeling or machine learning – your solution is impactful and drive business forward. Collaboration & communication: Outstanding at partnering with diverse stakeholders, you make complex data concepts clear and engaging for everyone from executives to frontline teams. Self-motivated and proactive: Quick to learn, independent, influential, and results-driven, you thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, comfortable with ambiguity and focus on progress & quality over perfection. Technical toolkit: (Proficient for Intermediate, Advanced/Expert for Senior) Mastery of analytics tools and techniques to drive results—SQL (including optimization), Python (data prep and wrangling, analysis, visualization, ML, automation), and Power BI (data modeling, DAX, M, dashboard UX design).
