About the Role

Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll be a hands-on team player who role models the B&M way of working to your team You’ll support in delivering fantastic store standards every day and will work closely with your Store Manager to maximise the performance of your store. You’ll love helping to run & lead your store like it’s your own business, supporting with all store operations from stock to recruitment.

When your Store Manager isn’t around, it’s down to you You’ll take charge of your store and drive your team to deliver a fantastic result, day in & day out Our managers at B&M aren’t office managers – our Deputy Store Managers are out there on the floor with their team, coaching and inspiring them to ensure they reach their full potential. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with your team, setting the pace & leading by example

To Be Successful, You Will:

  • Be a Supportive Leader: Assist your Store Manager in running your store with passion, leading by example and driving a strong sense of teamwork
  • Embrace Pace: You’ll have experience working in a fast-paced environment and working with large volumes of stock/product
  • Set the Standard: Help to maintain exceptional store standards and consistently deliver KPIs – and you’ll have a history of achieving this in your current or previous role(s)
  • Coach a Winning Team: You’ll love developing your team – working with them to identify and nurture talent & train them to achieve success
  • Welcome Challenges: Be hands-on and resilient – no 2 days are the same with B&M, and being adaptable and reactive is key
  • Love Retail: Demonstrate a passion for retail and for your role, bringing your commercial knowledge to your team & store

What You'll Need:

  • Experience managing medium to large sized teams in a fast-paced & high turnover store/environment
  • A history of working towards & successfully delivering KPI’s
  • Flexibility to work a range of hours, including weekends & bank holidays

Experience within an FMCG/big box environment is desirable, but not essential. If you feel you’ve got the people, organisational and commercial skills to successfully assist in running your own B&M store, we want to hear from you
