Job Title : RQ00438 - Specialized IT Consultant - Senior Start Date : End Date : Client : Supply Ontario Work Location : 525 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada Business Days : 252.00 Job Type : Hybrid (7.25 hours per day, 5 days) Qualifications (Must Haves) 5+ years’ comprehensive understanding of health care sector workflows and source system technologies (e.g., HIS, EMR, LIS) with hands‑on experience working with Integration Engines. 7+ years’ hands‑on experience delivering electronic health data integration projects or operations; expertise in HL7 V2.x (mandatory) and V3; practical experience with FHIR and XML messaging principles. Applied knowledge of HL7 health standard message conformance tooling (e.g., Caristix, XMLSpy, 7Edit, Postman) for HL7 v2.x, v3, and FHIR. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying Ontario Health's conformance testing and validation activities. Strong time‑management skills, handling multiple projects with demanding deadlines. Responsibilities Act as a Clinical Data Conformance & Integration Specialist, supporting data adoption and integration projects. Provide HL7 v2 and FHIR subject‑matter expertise on Ontario Health data usage and integration. Review, conformance test, validate, and implement healthcare patient data for Ontario Health clinical repositories. Assess data submissions for HL7 v2 & FHIR readiness against Ontario Health EHR specifications. Manage simultaneous work packages, ensuring compliance with standards and EHR input specifications. Serve as senior specialist with external clients, providing guidance on data integration methodology. Operate with a medium‑high level of autonomy, proactively resolving issues with minimal supervision. Desired Skills & Experience In‑depth knowledge of clinical workflows and technical processes within hospitals or other healthcare settings. Minimum 7 years of experience delivering electronic health data integration projects, applying HL7 v2, v3, and FHIR. Hands‑on experience with healthcare systems such as Meditech, Cerner, and Epic. Proficiency with HL7 health standards, messaging standards (HL7 v2, v3, FHIR), and related implementation guides. Experience with HL7 FHIR health standard and validation & conformance tooling (Postman, Caristix, XML Spy, 7Edit). Knowledge of Pharmacy Management, Lab Information, Hospital Information, Diagnostic Viewer, and PACS systems is an asset. Deliverables Contribute to multiple implementation projects, supporting the development of tools, guides, and materials for assessing data conformance, compliance, and quality. Participate in the development of assessment tools and supports for Ontario Health's clinical data repositories.
