Job Title RQ00438 - Specialized IT Consultant - Senior Start Date: 2026-01-07 End Date: 2026-12-24 Work Location: 525 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, Canada Business Days: 252 Job Type: Hybrid Hours Per Day: 7.25 hours per day (5 days) Description Senior Data Conformance & Integration Specialist responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and ensuring readiness of data contributed to Ontario Health repositories, including Ontario Lab Information System, Digital Health Drug Repository and emerging clinical repositories. Responsibilities Perform as a Clinical Data Conformance & Integration Specialist supporting data adoption and integration projects, working directly with Senior Project Managers and Product Teams. Provide oversight and HL7 v2 & HL7 FHIR subject matter expertise on Ontario Health data adoption and integration projects, guiding review, conformance testing, validation and implementation of patient data to Ontario Health clinical data repositories. Leverage HL7 v2 & FHIR expertise, clinical knowledge, and HL7 health information exchange standards experience to evaluate and advise external clients on interface development for data contribution or consumption. Manage simultaneous work packages for data contribution projects, ensuring adherence to HL7 v2 and FHIR standards and alignment with Ontario Health EHR input specifications. Determine data readiness for EHR product repositories by conducting HL7 v2 & FHIR messaging standards review, evaluation and validation of data compliance. Act as a senior specialist with external stakeholders through a defined data integration methodology that measures data conformance and validation. Work autonomously, proactively resolving issues with minimal supervision. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in healthcare sector workflows, source system technologies (HIS, EMR, LIS) and integration engines. 7+ years hands‑on experience delivering electronic health data integration projects, using HL7 V2.x (mandatory), V3, FHIR and XML messaging standards. Applied knowledge of HL7 health standard message conformance tooling (Caristix, XMLSpy, 7Edit, Postman etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying conformance testing and validation activities to technical staff, project managers and clinical SMEs. Strong time‑management skills, able to handle multiple projects with demanding deadlines. In‑depth knowledge of clinical workflow and technical processes within hospitals, pharmacy, lab, and PACS systems. Experience with Meditech, Cerner, Epic or similar healthcare systems.
