We connect with more than 150 Telematics service providers for underwriting and ongoing risk management of trucking fleets. We are also a Lloyd's Coverholder with Pen program with leading insurers. We are looking for a Junior Trucking Insurance Underwriter to join our program team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their underwriting career who wants to develop expertise in trucking insurance while working closely with both Mango's internal team and insurers underwriting team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data Accuracy & Completeness: Review and validate all client-submitted data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in the underwriting file. Rate Verification: Confirm calculations in the TrucksureIQ rater are accurate before submission or issuance. Policy & Endorsement Issuance: Ensure all policies and endorsements are issued correctly, in line with program guidelines. Referral Identification: Flag accounts that fall outside of the established underwriting criteria and prepare complete referral packages for insurer underwriters, including the ready rater and supporting documentation. Collaboration & Support: Liaise with Insurer's underwriting team and Mango's program leads, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent application of underwriting rules. Risk Management Liason: Liaise with insurance broker on file and Mango's risk consultants, ensuring communication with insured's safety team for implementations of recommendations coming from telematics driven risk management. Team Support Actively mentor and support team members as it is essential to ensure the team is growing in knowledge and expertise; it also significantly supports Mango's perpetuation plan for developing the next generation Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures as established Attend and participate in team meetings, staff meetings and company functions Knowledge and Experience 1-3 years of experience in commercial trucking insurance underwriting (essential). Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in data or calculations. Familiarity with rating tools, underwriting guidelines, and policy issuance workflows. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with underwriters and internal stakeholders. Comfortable working in a structured program with clear black-and-white criteria, while knowing when to escalate "grey" cases.
