Merchandise Planner


Overview


As a Product Planner, you are a data driven and tenacious operator playing a key role in the success of our fast-growing company.


You will conduct analysis and data-driven research to support the evolution of business insights and strategies at Jewlr, building innovative new capabilities and processes to support the growth of our existing and new businesses. In addition, you will collaborate closely with Purchasing, Merchandising, Production and Finance. Your delivery of meaningful insights will solve problems, identify new opportunities, and drive strategy.

Responsibilities


  • Work closely with the Merchandise leadership team to develop innovative new strategies, tools and reporting to model, plan and execute price changes.
  • Conduct and manage competitive benchmarking as an input into strategic pricing and assortment decisions.
  • Support with determining the optimal assortment breadth and depth to meet our financial targets.
  • Deliver robust performance insights pertaining to sales, margin and inventory and make strategic recommendations to the leadership team and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Partner closely with Purchasing, Merchandising, Production and Finance and identify business opportunities to unlock through analytical support and recommendations.
  • Act as owner of accuracy and timely delivery of all performance data and reporting to the organization.



Education & Skills


  • 3-5 years experience in Retail Analytics, Business Insights, Category Management
  • Degree in Business or related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter attitude
  • A ‘can-do’ demeanor and a passion for analytics, data and problem-solving are required
  • Takes ownership for results, “owning” assignments and projects
  • Eager to learn new technologies and domains to get the job done
  • Able to construct a compelling, data-driven narrative to express ideas and proposals
  • Capable of illustrating data results clearly for non-technical users; SQL and Power BI knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize objectives based on impact potential



This is a full-time hybrid position based in Toronto.
