**Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX**:

- As a Visual Merchandising (VM) Planner, you work closely with the Merchandising, Planning and Allocation teams to create market leading retail experiences. You produce monthly directives that detail floor layouts, product presentation and marketing strategies that reinforce our brand vision. Using your knowledge of the outdoor industry and retail experience, you inspire and drive continuous improvement in our retail spaces.

**Meet Your Future Team**:

- The Visual Merchandising team is accountable for driving global consistency of visual merchandising within all retail channels to maximize sales, profit, and brand positioning. We create, deliver and train on evergreen brand standards and seasonal directives informed by collaboration with our cross-functional teams.

**If you were the Visual Merchandising Planner now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Collaborating with the Merchandising, Planning and Allocation teams to create VM directives that support the product framework and assortment structure
- Aligning the fleet by sharing feedback and evolution opportunities; connecting and collaborating monthly with Regional Visual Merchandisers
- Evolving our approach and processes with a continuous improvement lens; Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive VM strategies and enable creative, in-store product stories
- Collaborating with Creative, Marketing and Store Design teams to develop the right fixtures and marketing material to support new product launches and campaigns
- Developing VM directives for your dedicated categories and delivering this content to stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the seasonal brand vision
- Partnering with Regional Managers and Area Directors to ensure successful implementation of directives and evolve with relevant and inspirational material
- Conducting seasonal market visits to coach and mentor; providing feedback to hold teams accountable for championing a premium retail experience
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

**Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future**:

- Creating and continuously evolving our VM concept strategies based on global marketplace and key consumer trends to deliver on our 10-year brand vision
- Initiating the development of new VM tools and processes to drive functional efficiencies and evolution
- Developing high business acumen for your dedicated categories to inform future fixture development and retail product assortment
- Supporting VM in-store evolution across a global portfolio

**Are you our next VM Planner?**:

- You have a university degree in Visual Merchandising, Art & Design, Marketing or Business Management
- You have 4+ years Visual Merchandising experience in an outdoor or sportwear apparel environment
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- You are a creative problem solver, agile and can adapt to developing situations and provide solutions that work within our budget and timeline
- You have excellent planning, organizing and project management skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- You have strong creative, communication, presentation and analytical skills
- You are passionate about Visual Merchandising with an eye for detail and keen to progress with a career in retail
- You are enthusiastic and creative with a flair for design and color with an interest in popular culture and current trends
- You have a strong understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry, and the key outdoor activities we make product for
- You are willing and able to travel as required (core consumer events, new store openings, new season launches etc.) up to 30% of your time

$80,000 - $100,000 a year
- A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
