Senior Advisor, Counsel and Group Retirement Savings Oversigh Join to apply for the Senior Advisor, Counsel and Group Retirement Savings Oversigh role at Desjardins We are seeking a senior advisor to protect the organization’s legal interests and ensure compliance across Group Retirement Savings (GRS) initiatives. This leadership role collaborates with stakeholders on strategic, cross‑functional projects and provides subject‑matter expertise to decision‑making bodies. Responsibilities Lead projects and mandates related to Group Retirement Savings (GRS) with significant scope and impact for the organization. Advise and support colleagues and managers in positioning, planning, development, execution, and follow‑up on strategic projects under your responsibility. Guide teams in resolving issues and complex situations. Identify and analyze problems, raise major issues, establish diagnoses, and make recommendations to relevant bodies. Act as a liaison between the business sector and teams in Compliance, Legal Affairs, Taxation, and Privacy Protection. Oversee the development and evolution of policies, standards, models, and programs supporting GRS strategic projects. Represent the business sector on various industry committees. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Law and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including experience in GRS. Membership in the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec is required. Knowledge of French is required; advanced proficiency in English is required due to the nature of duties.
