Job Description Job Description About LeanScaper LeanScaper exists to modernize the landscaping industry by helping operators build businesses that scale through systems, leadership clarity, and operational discipline —not hustle, chaos, or burnout. At the core of LeanScaper is a simple but ambitious belief: Landscaping is skilled, meaningful work—and the businesses behind it deserve to be run with the same professionalism, structure, and strategic clarity as any world-class organization. LeanScaper is not just a product or a program. It is a movement . We are building the LeanScaper Operating System (LSOS) — an AI-Powered Operating System that helps landscape business owners replace chaos with structure, inconsistency with systems, and stress with clarity. To bring this vision to market at scale, LeanScaper is investing heavily in media and thought leadership . Our mission is to produce and distribute the most trusted, practical, and future-focused content in the landscaping industry , making LeanScaper the place operators turn when they want real answers, not theory, hype, or recycled advice. Our content is designed to: Make landscapers feel seen, understood, and respected Help them navigate modernization, leadership, profitability, and AI with confidence Build trust at scale so operators are willing to change how they run their businesses Establish LeanScaper as the definitive voice shaping the future of the industry Media is the engine that powers trust, community, education, and long-term growth. To build that engine properly, we’re hiring a Director of Content Operations . This Role Might Be For You If… Do you get excited by the idea of building and running a content factory , not just shipping one-off creative wins? Do you love turning strategy into clear systems, workflows, and execution rhythms ? Are you energized by bringing order, clarity, and calm to fast-paced, high-growth environments? Do you enjoy leading creatives by setting standards, enforcing constraints, and helping them do their best work? Are you the kind of person who always knows: What’s being worked on Who owns it When it’s shipping And why it matters? Do you like using data to drive continuous improvement , without letting metrics destroy taste or brand quality? Are you hungry for a role with real ownership, high expectations, and meaningful upside? If so, keep reading. In This Role, You Will Be… Owning the day-to-day operation of LeanScaper’s content factory Translating publication plans into executable production schedules Designing and enforcing clear workflows in Notion so everyone knows what’s happening and what’s next Leading a distributed creative team with clarity, accountability, and trust Building simple, powerful reporting systems that show what’s working — and what to improve next Protecting creative focus by enforcing strong briefing standards and saying “no” when needed Continuously improving systems, processes, and execution quality Collaborating closely with Benji (EVP of Community Growth) to improve strategy through executional feedback and data This Role Is a Strong Fit If… You’re a proven operator with leadership experience in a creative, media, or content-driven environment You’ve built or run systems that manage high volumes of work across tight timelines You understand how modern content platforms work and how performance is earned You have strong editorial judgment and aren’t afraid to give clear, constructive feedback You thrive in fast-paced, ambitious, startup-style environments You’re motivated by ownership, mastery, and impact — not titles or status You’re excited by responsibility and understand what it means to build something that matters Who This Role Is NOT For This role is likely not a fit if: You prefer slower-moving, highly bureaucratic environments You’re uncomfortable with changing priorities or ambitious goals You enjoy ideation more than execution You avoid enforcing standards or having direct feedback conversations You’re looking for a highly predictable, low-intensity role You’re primarily motivated by title, visibility, or association with a brand rather than ownership and accountability This role requires sustained focus and responsibility. For the right person, that’s motivating. For the wrong person, it will feel exhausting. Why LeanScaper Build a world-class media and thought leadership engine from the inside Lead a talented, distributed creative team Work directly with senior leadership Operate with autonomy, trust, and accountability Grow with a company that’s scaling fast and thinking long-term Help shape the future of an industry that is ready to evolve If this role feels like exactly what you’ve been preparing for , we’d love to hear from you. Apply below and tell us why this role resonates and why you’re the right operator to build this factory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
