Underwriting Manager, Transportation & Logistics Northbridge Financial Corporation. What it’s like to be a Northbridge Underwriting Manager As an Underwriting Manager in our Transportation and Logistics department, you will customize solutions for commercial clients, lead and develop a team of underwriters, and work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk. You will play a key leadership role in executing the operational business plan, ensuring rate adequacy, risk selection, data quality, and service levels. Maintaining strong relationships with brokers – responding promptly to emails and phone calls and regularly scheduling in‑person meetings – is essential. You will also work closely with our Actuarial and Claims Departments to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. Responsibilities Commercial underwriting – evaluate, document, select, negotiate, and price assigned policies. Sales & negotiation – build and maintain professional relationships with brokers and customers. Coaching & mentoring – develop and guide the underwriting team. Operational leadership – drive execution of business plans and maintain service levels. Qualifications 10+ years of underwriting experience. Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Experience leading or mentoring a team. Experience with overseeing change management. Completed or pursuing CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations. Strong customer service background.
