Job Description Are you a Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineer? Do you have experience as a project manager? This opportunity could be for you We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering team and work in a multi-disciplinary role supporting Project NextGen based in Saint John, New Brunswick. Responsibilities As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplined capital projects. From project concept development to project start-up, you will lead a team through all phases including scope definition, funding applications, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. You will ensure projects are executed safely, in compliance with environmental regulations, within budget and schedule, and meet all technical, performance, and quality objectives. Qualifications Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering Degree Prior experience in pulp & paper or other heavy industrial projects is an asset – New Graduates will be considered Ability to successfully execute within a team environment Ability to lead cross-functional project teams involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed cost-effectively, on time, reliably, and safely Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates ownership, initiative, attention to detail, and a drive to do things right the first time Above-average planning and organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
