Junior Clinical Fellow in Neurology

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is full rota. This is a Fixed term post for 4 months. An opportunity has arisen for a Neurology Junior Clinical Fellow within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This position offers the chance to work in a highly specialised regional Neurology service, delivering high‑quality patient care aligned with the latest best practices. The service employs a multidisciplinary approach to care provision, and the post holder will collaborate with clinical nurse specialists, specialist AHPs, and a team of specialised ward‑based neurology nursing colleagues. This role is aimed at FY2‑grade doctors to support the Department in delivering services. The successful candidate will participate in an on‑call, out‑of‑hours rota. Applicants who have not undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date will be asked to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST). The CREST form must be completed by a consultant who has worked with you for a minimum continuous period of three months whole‑time equivalent wholly within the 3.5 years prior to the advertised post start date for which you are applying. Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality patient care aligned with the latest best practices. Collaborate with clinical nurse specialists, specialist AHPs and ward‑based neurology nursing colleagues. Support the Department in delivering services. Participate in an on‑call, out‑of‑hours rota. Qualifications FY2‑grade doctor. Have undertaken a UK foundation programme within 3.5 years of the advertised post start date or provide a CREST certificate. Available to start in December 2025 or January 2026.
