This is a unique opportunity to tap into your passion, to collaborate with key stakeholders at the most senior levels and be a major influence in shaping of the indirect procurement strategies, leveraging our global footprint to deliver meaningful value. You will have a chance to expand your skills in a complex, global business environment whilst coaching and mentoring the development of your team.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Understand operational needs in regard to the commodities assigned to you;

Have a solid procurement knowledge, category, and contract management - from an end to end perspective, in a product development and customer engagement industry;

Build solid business partnership and be involved with main stakeholders in order to understand their operational needs, their strategies, challenges, and opportunities;

Develop a solid market and supplier knowledge and then submit ideas / improvements for the categories under your management, in order to become a trustworthy advisor for your stakeholders;

Lead and drive cost reduction initiatives;

Lead your team’s procurement operations through execution of end-to-end sourcing initiatives;

Build a culture of team engagement where meeting customers' expectations and following sound and ethical business practices are top priorities.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

Exceptional interpersonal skills; a team player with a strong sense of partnership behavior who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required;

Solid foundation in Procurement, Contract Management and Category Management from start to finish in a product development and consumer engagement organization;

Proven track record in developing high performing category strategies that delivered sustainability and value;

Excellent communication and organizational skills in leading and managing on-site and remote team members;

Able to think strategically and plan for the long term;

Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Category Management in Indirect Categories;

Bilingualism (French/English) is essential, both spoken and written, as the person in this role will be representing BRP vis a vis international suppliers as well as interact with internal departments across our global locations.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Engineering or a relevant field is required. MBA/Master’s degree in business, Procurement management is an asset.
