Director, Corporate Finance and Control – Export Development Canada (EDC) Application deadline: December 12th, 2025 Position Overview The Director, Corporate Finance and Control reports to the Vice‑President, Corporate Finance and Control. This role leads a team of approximately 35 financial reporting and accounting experts responsible for internal controls, IFRS compliance, and regulatory reporting for EDC’s loans, insurance, treasury, investments, tax and pension functions. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls, prepare financial reports. Perform general accounting activities and maintain accounting records, including general ledger and regulatory reports. Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions and provide analysis for senior management. Maintain compliance with government regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Lead the implementation and application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Streamline reporting processes using modern tools and techniques. Develop staff performance and career pathways, and provide indirect leadership across teams. Manage capacity and capability of the team to meet organizational needs. Provide strategic direction for the area of accountability, including business priorities. Partner closely with Enterprise Analytics and Forecasting teams, external auditors, and Internal Audit. Support oversight of incentive measures and provide compliance reporting to senior management. Demonstrate customer focus, transparency and decisiveness, influencing a wide range of audiences. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Professional accounting designation. Advanced knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles. Minimum 10 years’ experience in Corporate Finance and Control or related field. Minimum 5–10 years of leadership experience. Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels. Excellent leadership and coaching abilities with high integrity. Bilingual in English and French (required for leadership roles). Preferred Additional Experience Experience in financial services or Crown corporation environment.
