The DEI placement sits in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) department in Human Resources. The DEI department develops and implements companywide DEI strategies and plans, provides support and guidance on DEI issues, governs employee resource groups, and supports DEI programs across the company. Your Job Duties May Include Co-facilitating DEI workshops Assisting the DEI team in supporting employee resource groups Assisting with virtual/in-person events, communications strategies/plans, and projects Supporting the One Awards program by screening resumes, scheduling interviews and organizing Awards luncheon Updating the DEI SharePoint site Creating surveys to gather informative insights Analyzing data and presenting results of studies Supporting strategic corporate DEI programs Other duties as assigned Professional Development DEI experience Business communications skills Event planning experience Industry knowledge Presentation/facilitation skills Job Requirements Discipline: Prefer Business, HR, Marketing, or Communications students Communications skills and/or DEI knowledge or experience Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills Experience using different web tools and developing visually appealing and interactive presentations Be self-motivated, proactive, and innovative in delivering in spite of obstacles Possess excellent organizational and time-management skills Desire to assist others and meet their needs Able to develop cooperative relationships Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams Able to quickly learn and contribute to team activities Be flexible to perform duties as assigned Additional Job Conditions May require occasional travel and work away from the regular work location Willingness and ability to work remotely/virtually Driver’s License is required (G2 or G) Must complete mandatory Hydro One orientation and other training courses We are honoured to be recognized by Forbes in its list of Canada’s Best Employers for 2025.
