University Co-Op Student – Strategic Projects – 12 Months – Toronto – May 2026 Join Hydro One as a University Co‑Op Student in Strategic Projects. This temporary 12‑month role starts May 2026 in Toronto. Position: 51084 – Toronto – Temporary 12 MonthsHiring salary range: $2,064.34 – $3,189.88 bi‑weekly. Job Duties Assist in ongoing project management support of transmission lines and/or stations projects. Assist in contract procurement. Receive assignments from supervisors on problems related to the assigned area of work. Analyze problems, develop strategies and preferred solutions, and assist in delivery of the solution through suppliers and service providers. Manage small‑ and large‑scale deliverables in a matrixed team. Gather, consolidate, analyze and present project data (metrics, project status, financials) in spreadsheets and dashboards to improve decision making. Prepare comprehensive reports and specifications for projects and programs. Work with others, including different project managers and team members, as required. Assist in managing and tracking project budget and status. Report on variances and assist in redirection of projects. Assist in driving project success through timely update requests. Perform other duties as required. Professional Development Develop project management skills. Skills to set up and conduct efficient meetings. Develop the skills to write effective briefing notes. Understand how to analyze financial data and its importance for making business decisions. Effective communication and writing skills. Knowledge of power systems and deployment of new investments and infrastructure. Experience supporting programs and projects utilizing the Strategic Project Delivery Model. Opportunity to implement technical writing and problem‑solving skills. Learn from a diverse group of project managers and team members. Develop strong organizational and effective time management skills. First‑hand experiences through site visits and in‑field information sessions. Selection Criteria Currently in 2nd or 3rd year of a 4‑year Engineering, Business, Finance or Natural Environment degree program (a Project Management focus is an asset). Knows technical writing to prepare effective reports. Knowledge of business administration and financial reporting. Demonstrated strong communication, organization and planning skills. Ability to function effectively as a team member with a demonstrated ability to be an agent of change. Strong working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office and/or SAP is considered an asset. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills.
