The CanCap Group (“CanCap”) is a privately-owned Canadian national financial services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios. We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable — from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management, and post charge-off recoveries. We are a company of innovators. We learn from each other, respect each other, and create together. We strive to inspire our customers by continually understanding them, meeting their needs, and keeping them happily surprised — and we always do so with integrity. What Your Day and Week Could Look Like As the District Sales Manager (DSM) for Alberta, focusing on the Calgary regions, you will build and manage relationships with a portfolio of dealership partners across these key markets. You will represent both prime and non-prime automotive lending programs, ensuring dealerships are supported, educated, and engaged to drive consistent application and funding growth. This role blends dealership relationship management, sales enablement, and performance analytics. You’ll use tools such as Salesforce CRM, Power BI, Databricks, and Excel to monitor performance trends, develop insights, and inform business discussions. You’ll also conduct dealership education sessions, participate in local automotive industry events, and strengthen CanCap’s visibility within the Alberta market. What You’ll Do Dealer Relationship & Territory Management Manage and grow a portfolio of dealership partners primarily in Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding areas. Conduct regular dealership visits to support training, partnership development, and performance optimization. Educate dealership teams (F&I, sales managers, GSMs/GMs) on CanCap programs, deal structure strategies, and submission best practices. Represent CanCap at industry events, dealer group meetings, and association conferences to increase visibility and partnership strength across Alberta. Support dealers in submitting high-quality applications to achieve strong approval and funding performance. Monitor program mix, approval trends, and opportunity gaps to guide dealer‑level performance plans. Partner closely with Credit and Funding teams to resolve deal issues and ensure a smooth experience for dealers and customers alike. Performance Reporting, CRM & Insights Use Salesforce CRM to manage dealer accounts, track visits, log engagement, and maintain activity records. Generate and review CRM reports to assess pipeline activity, follow‑up completion, and dealer engagement trends. Review dealer performance dashboards in Power BI to identify key drivers, opportunities, and risks. Utilize Databricks for data retrieval and performance analysis (basic familiarity required). Use Excel (pivot tables, formulas, comparative analysis) to support monthly reviews and territory reporting. Present findings and actionable insights in a clear, structured format for internal and external business reviews. Dealer Education & Field Enablement Deliver dealer education sessions, both one‑on‑one and group‑based, to enhance understanding of CanCap’s credit programs and operational processes. Coach dealerships on best practices for structuring deals, optimizing submissions, and improving approval ratios. Gather and relay market and competitive intelligence to Sales Leadership to inform program strategy. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Credit, Operations, Risk, and Product teams to align dealer experience and program execution. Serve as a field voice to help shape internal initiatives and improve service delivery. Maintain a disciplined approach to territory planning and follow‑up. Act as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor and brand ambassador for CanCap across Alberta. What You’ll Bring Experience 3+ years in automotive finance, dealership business development, vendor/F&I support, or field sales. Experience working directly with F&I managers, GSMs, or dealer principals in the Calgary market. Technical Skills Power BI (interpreting dealer and regional performance dashboards) Databricks (basic data extraction and analysis) Excel (pivot tables, lookups, performance summaries) Core Strengths Highly motivated, energetic, and relationship driven. Organized and disciplined with strong attention to detail and time management. Skilled communicator who influences through trust, clarity, and insight. Comfortable traveling between Calgary, Edmonton, and nearby markets as required. Reporting Relationship This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Director, and collaborates closely with the VP of Sales, Credit, and Operations to ensure alignment on performance targets and dealer engagement strategies. What You Can Expect from Us Leadership support for your development and long‑term career growth. Comprehensive health and dental benefits. Hybrid work flexibility (travel within the region) Diversity & Inclusion The CanCap Group and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers and value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We thank all applicants for their interest — only those selected for next steps will be contacted.
