Company Description Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are undertaking the design, build, and finance of the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package. As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews for major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030, supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction. Project Overview The Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel will include a six-kilometer tunnel from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River) and several stations: One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station. Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations. Four new underground stations: King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown. Benefits to Ontario Faster, more frequent, and reliable access to rapid transit for more than 227,500 people within a 10-minute walk of an Ontario Line station. Improves quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time. Reduces crowding on the existing Line 1 (Yonge‑University) subway. Enables up to 57,000 more jobs accessible by transit within 45 minutes or less for Toronto residents. Promotes economic and community growth along the future transit line with thousands of job opportunities annually during construction. Reduces traffic congestion, greenhouse gases, and fuel consumption by providing an alternative transportation option. Job Responsibilities Provide management with data and project analysis. Review contract documents and construction drawings, generate procurement lists, RFIs, change orders, permitting, traffic and lands information as necessary. Track productivity, costs, and progress on the Ontario Line South. Liaise with and inform stakeholders, vendors, owners on project schedule. Review, create, and present job cost reports to management. Provide data and input for month‑end reconciliation. Maintain files and correspondence. Assist in the coordination, preparation and submission of as-built and design drawings. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments. Perform other administrative duties as required. Perform in a fast‑paced environment. Based at Exhibition Station. Prepare with subcontractors and the methods department the optimal construction sequence and methodology. Coordinate civil works with other trades (waterproofing, MEP, architectural). Qualifications Graduate from a relevant program such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 8‑10 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with building construction. Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents. Sound computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project. Strong communication skills – oral and written. Self‑motivated with good organizational skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team.
