**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Manager, Development, the Project Coordinator, Design is responsible for coordinating and monitoring of the scheduling of project timelines, budgets and deliverables associated for the construction of new build, and renovation projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the proper updating and maintaining of project scheduling as it pertains to liaising with external partnerships, city and municipal entitlement processes, consultant team deliverables for design, approvals and permits.
You will also be managing multiple projects simultaneously and responsible for maintaining and tracking of project budgeting and invoicing from conceptual stages and approvals processes for consultant and municipal fees. It is imperative that you are adaptable to changing circumstances and can work cross functionally.
**What you will be doing**
- Develop project schedules and budgets to assist in the coordination of design/ development team, development partners and consultants to meet milestone deadlines
- Assist in the review of consultant documents, drawings and specifications for conformance to Amica standards
- The receiving, coordinating and proper coding of invoices during the project development process
- Coordinate with other departments such as Investments and Accounting for project budgeting
- Monitor and ability to trouble shoot inconsistencies in invoicing and budgeting
- Track progress and identify risks with the potential to impact budget and schedule
- Comfortable working with evolving timeframes and ability to be flexible
**What we’re looking for**
- Degree in engineering, architecture or construction management is preferred.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering experience required
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a development, planning, design or construction environment.
- Experience with budgeting and costing software
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, BIM is an asset
- Proven ability to read construction documents, schedules and specifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in coordinating and liaising on project and consultant budgeting and contracts
- Proven ability of organization and information cataloging capabilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, while coordinating with different levels of management.
- Ability for unrestricted travel
