Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented senior accountant with expertise in US GAAP and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The CAPEX senior accountant will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate records, perform asset valuations, and provide insights to support strategic decision‑making. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles and reporting standards Perform regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and integrity Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather and analyze data related to fixed assets Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of fixed asset transactions, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures related to fixed assets Provide insights and analysis on fixed asset performance, trends, and variances Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with new standards Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices for fixed asset management Technical Accounting Works with stakeholders on reaching and documenting accounting conclusions Works with business partners on staying informed of relevant matters Proactively identifies unusual accounting matters and resolves complex issues Monitors and ensures compliance with evolving US GAAP requirements Supports implementation of new accounting standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA certification or equivalent preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and reporting requirements Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and reporting, preferably in a corporate setting Proficiency in using accounting software (Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data Strong organizational and time‑management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Pay Range United States - Dallas Infomart Office (DAI): 80,000 - 120,000 USD / AnnualCanada - Toronto Office (TRO): 73,000 - 109,000 CAD / Annual Equinix benefits include health, life, disability plans, retirement plans, paid time off, and optional benefits. Individual pay is based on additional factors such as job‑related skills and experience. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
