Job Summary Equinix is searching for a process automation-minded accounting professional to join our Global Capex Assurance team. The Senior Accountant, Global Capex Assurance uses technical and organizational skills to identify possibilities for improvement and drives systematic solutions. He/she has knowledge that encompasses accounting, information technology, and software, and assists in driving process standardization in support of global operations and recommends optimal use of system tools and system enhancement. This position supports Equinix’s global capex accounting organization. Responsibilities Operational Policy Reviews and monitors non-standard transactions throughout the month and concludes on accounting implications per US and local GAAP. Leads the Accounting team on execution of conclusions. Identifies process gaps and issues, supports findings with data analysis, and recommends areas for improvement; builds reliable and scalable solutions. Develops and maintains knowledge of Lean quality improvement principles. Disclosures and External Reporting Responsible for reviewing any additional disclosures needed for SEC reporting. Designs governance structure to drive global consistency. Management Reporting Reviews month-end management reporting. Provides expertise and best practice recommendations to management. Assists in developing KPIs for the Global Capex organization to measure efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting Operation. Proactively assesses solutions from multiple angles, recommends and assists in implementing enhancements by working closely with IT on solution design and development of processes, systems and workflows. Provides recommendations to leadership on impacts, alternatives, and critical milestones regarding process changes. Business Partnering Works closely with Continuous Improvement, Finance Transformation & Strategy teams in process automation, utilizing SQL, ERP tools, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Leads implementation of process improvements and system automation. People Management Provides true people manager leadership and direction to the team. Manages team activities including results, costs, methods, and staffing. Drives accountability for the performance and results of direct reports. Responsible for hiring decisions and activities including job definition, interviewing, selection, and onboarding. Responsible for employee decisions and activities including compensation, quarterly conversations, performance counseling, coaching and career development. Ensures workload is balanced by leading the team. Assess employee engagement and develops and implements strategies and programs to improve it. Responsible for succession planning recommendations and contributing to and driving people development strategy. Models the Equinix Culture and Values. Accounting Systems & COA Experience in Oracle Cloud suite with focus on Fixed Asset Manager and/or PPM. Experience in Hyperion/PBCS, ARCs, Coupa is a big plus. Understanding of RPA technology and its impact on Accounting Processes. Technical Accounting Works with stakeholders on reaching and documenting accounting conclusions. Works with business partners to stay informed of relevant matters. Proactively identifies unusual accounting matters and resolves complex issues. Monitors and ensures compliance with evolving US GAAP requirements. Supports implementation of new accounting standards. Qualifications 3+ years experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. CPA certification preferred. Pay Range United States – Dallas Infomart Office: $80,000 – $120,000 USD per year. Canada – Toronto Office: $73,000 – $109,000 CAD per year.
