Overview Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Buildings – WSP in Canada. This is your opportunity to join our growing Buildings team as a Senior Project Manager - Mechanical (MEP). This role requires strong leadership, extensive experience managing complex mechanical engineering projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions across building projects. Responsibilities Act as the lead Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager on complex projects. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Lead a project-specific mechanical design team. Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure project success. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns. Ensure all engineering work meets quality standards and codes, while ensuring client expectations are met. Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and specifications. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years experience in the engineering consulting industry with focus on the design of mechanical systems for buildings. A valid PEO license. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards. Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Proven ability to lead and motivate complex multidisciplinary projects. Experience with leading mechanical design teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
