IDEX – Viking Pump – District Manager – Southern Ontario Lead the sales activity in the assigned territory (Southern Ontario) through pursuing target customers, maintaining existing customer base, developing market maps, and successfully closing orders to grow the overall territory. Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed territory order commitments and sales revenue forecast as established by the Regional Sales Manager. Maintain and build relationships with end‑user customers. Prospect and find opportunities for growth with new customers and industries as well as within the existing customer base. Develop and implement strategies to displace competition at new and existing targeted accounts with the goal of increased market share and penetration. Recommend customized product offerings based on a deep understanding of end‑user system, needs, and constraints. Stay proficient with new product and market trends, territory market data, orders, and sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence. Interact with customers in person and remotely to review existing or new applications, evaluate and recommend pumping solutions that best fit the applications. Be self‑motivated, competitive, and possess a desire to achieve and exceed clearly defined goals and objectives. Exercise strong business acumen related to sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer call planning. Grow and develop targeted growth products and customers. Provide monthly forecasting aligned to the sales plan. Maintain CRM proficiency and diligence daily. Adopt an organized, detailed, and efficient approach to lead and quote follow‑up, expenses, planning, and reporting. Support Channel Team and Channel Partners as required. Engage with and support technological innovations and initiatives as they are developed. Qualifications & Experience Technical post‑secondary degree preferred or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in outside technical sales of rotating equipment. Strong business experience and acumen with sales forecasting, prospecting, and a history of success. Proven ability to listen, build trust with customers, bring closure to action, project, or opportunity. Bilingual in French and English is an asset. Special Requirements Willing to travel as needed to visit customers. Formal presentation skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to travel in Canada and the U.S. Computer & Technical Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with CRM is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions. Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person. Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use. General manufacturing, warehouse, and office environment.
