Manager, External Communications

Join the Moneris team as our Manager, External Communications. What you’ll do Support the Director with ideation, planning, and development of strategic corporate external communications programs. Plan, implement, and measure communications programs that support corporate communications, including issue management, business continuity management, brand and corporate reputation, and awareness. Communicate ESG initiatives to external audiences, showcasing the company’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. Develop and support media and public relations communications in data releases, media inquiries, executive responses, and other public-facing communications, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives. Oversee the external-facing Media Room. Prioritize, review, edit, and provide counsel on communications drafted by internal and external stakeholders to ensure messaging is consistent with corporate strategy and voice. Plan, execute, and support executive communications, including Town Hall, executive newsletters, and other content; work with executives to identify speaking opportunities, manage thought leadership initiatives, and enhance their visibility as industry experts. What you bring Post‑graduate degree or certificate in public relations, communications, journalism, or related. 5+ years of experience in a corporate communications role; corporate communications, public relations, and internal communications experience; management of external agencies and vendors; experience managing teams. Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset. Familiarity with media tracking software considered an asset. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset.
