Our client in the auto manufacturing space is seeking a fulltime permanent Assembly line Team Lead. Focus will be to lead and support assembly production teams to achieve daily safety, quality, and productivity targets in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. Location: onsite Belleville Responsibilities Lead and support production teams with safety, quality, and productivity as top priorities Ensure operators understand and follow all procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements Train and coach operators on processes, quality checks, and safe work practices Coordinate daily activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements Drive workstation setup, tooling, and fixture installation, testing, and adjustments Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support operator development Ensure accurate and timely production, inventory, efficiency, scrap, and downtime reporting Utilize CMI and other systems for scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure first-off and ongoing quality standards Lead and support continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives Assist with preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and issue identification Support tooling trials, process improvements, and engineering change activities Enforce plant safety rules and participate in JHSC audits and compliance activities Approve employee time and attendance and provide break relief as required Ensure quality alerts, JES/SOS documentation, and training are current and communicated Requirements Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment preferred Strong knowledge of industrial processes, equipment, and manufacturing workflows Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities Experience driving process improvements, scrap reduction, and efficiency gains Computer proficiency (CMI, MS Word, Excel; manufacturing systems experience an asset) Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, shift-based environment Effective English verbal and written communication skills Valid forklift license considered an asset Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations Ability to work shifts, overtime, and move between plants as required Physically able to work on the production floor and lift up to 50 lbs periodically #J-18808-Ljbffr
