Position Summary: We are looking for a highly driven and talented software engineer or bioinformatics engineer to join the DRAGEN Team. The team focuses on developing automated test infrastructure and bioinformatics tools to analyze large genomic datasets, setting up CI/CD, and improving the databases and websites used for verification activities. Responsibilities Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the testing effort for data analysis software Design and implement automated software verification framework and scripts Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists for data analysis, troubleshooting, and bioinformatics tool development Participate in Code and Design Reviews Ensure Software Development Life Cycle procedures are followed Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed essential functions; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities. Requirements Strong software engineering fundamentals Experience in developing software applications using Python, Java, C#, or C++ is preferred Experience in designing or architecting automated verification frameworks and tests is preferred Have a good understanding or interest in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Oncology or related fields Ability to work in a Linux environment Experience with CI/CD and related tools is preferred Experience with cloud technologies is preferred Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks Proven ability to self-manage and manage interdisciplinary relationships Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills All listed requirements are essential functions; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.
