EIPS is recruiting a full-time Junior High Teacher at Lakeland Ridge. Teaching assignment includes Grades 7/8/9: Construction Technologies, Graphic Arts, Design Studies, Science, Health and Life Skills.

Lakeland Ridge serves approximately 730 students in kindergarten to Grade 9, with 33 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Lakeland Ridge focuses on academic excellence, technology, fitness and recreation, art, and community involvement. The school's motto, "Pride in our Pack," is demonstrated daily through strong literacy programs and initiatives, an excellent character education program, leadership and peer support opportunities, athletics, and extracurricular activities such as the Linking Generations program.

Commencing August 27, 2024

Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS

teachers who hold a continuous contract and meet the minimum

requirements of the position

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training

First Aid training would be an asset
