Job title: Staff Software Engineer–SRE/ DevOps As a Senior Software Engineer in Black Duck SRE team , you will play a key role in transforming our R&D products through the adoption of advanced cloud, Containerization, Microservices, modern software delivery and other cutting-edge technologies. You will be a key member of the team, working independently to develop tools and scripts, automated provisioning, deployment, and monitoring. Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, modular solutions that promote reuse and are easily integrated into our diverse product suite. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and incorporate user feedback into the development. Establish best practices for modern software architecture, including Microservices, Serverless computing, and API-first strategies. Ensure the platform's infrastructure is robust, secure, and compliant with industry standards. Act as an escalation point for L1 operations members, troubleshooting issues and training on product-specific domains. Drive product-specific improvements as identified in blameless postmortems, advocating for improvements in the product and infrastructure. Design and implement tailored operational deployments for our FedRAMP-certified platform. Work Location Burlington, Mass (In-Office / Hybrid) Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering A minimum of 3 years of experience working with DevOps for a FedRAMP product Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Shell Mastery of modern platform technologies: Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), and monitoring (Prometheus, etc.) Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders. Experience with cloud governance, FinOps optimization, networking security, compliance frameworks, and deployment automation (canary deployments, feature flags) a bonus.
