Background

The services of one (1) Level 3 Business Analyst are required to support the CFINTCOM with requirement gathering, business analysis, mission data and system inventory, and policy development in support of Intelligence Mission Data initiatives.

The Canadian Forces Intelligence Command is researching technical and policy requirements towards an Intelligence Mission Data capability. The production of high-quality Intelligence Data is needed for current and future CAF platforms. Intelligence Mission Data has five functional areas: Order of Battle, Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming, Signatures, Characteristics and Performance, and Geospatial Intelligence. The initiative is in support of Intelligence Modernization, which will enhance credible and sustained intelligence support to DND/CAF.

Requirements:

  • MUST Hold an Active Top Secret clearance with the Government of Canada
  • MUST Hold an Active Controlled Goods Certificate
  • 12 years experience in Business Analysis
  • 12 years experience in developing process analysis and functional specifications to support the development of automated business processes for IM/IT projects
  • 12 years experience in conducting interviews and workshops with both business and technical communities for the purpose of gathering and documenting requirements, processes and workflows for IM/IT projects

Tasks

  • Develop and document statements of requirements (business, user, functional and/or service-level) for considered alternatives (Alternatives may be considered only if they affect business processes/requirements) to ensure that IT-delivered solutions support the business through the implementation process;
  • Perform business analyses of functional requirement changes to identify information, procedures, and decision flows in order to assess the impact of change;
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, application subsystems;
  • Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems;
  • Establish acceptance test criteria with client;
  • Support and use the selected departmental methodologies;
  • Perform other related services as required by the Technical Authority; and
  • Brief Senior Management.
