Senior Data Scientist – Clio Join to apply for the Senior Data Scientist role at Clio . Clio is a global leader transforming the legal experience and increasing access to justice. Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Insights team. You will work closely with Clio’s products and business teams, collaborating from product managers to developers, to accelerate hypothesis testing, experimentation, and strategic decision‑making. Responsibilities Collaborate with product teams to identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, and provide input that drives growth. Identify new questions about our business, product, and customers that lead to impactful insights. Build predictive and prescriptive AI and ML solutions and deploy them in production. Apply rigorous statistical analysis and data‑mining techniques to evaluate the impact of different product features and other business initiatives. Innovate and experiment with new applications of statistical analysis, machine learning, GenAI, LLMs, etc. to unlock new product opportunities. Build a scientific culture in product and business teams by enabling discussions with data, disseminating best practices, and leading by example. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Qualifications 5+ years applied data science experience. Experience in analytics working with product and user‑behavior data, e.g., retention or churn analysis. Ability to translate business requirements into data science solutions. Proficiency in database modeling, SQL, and data‑warehousing principles. Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., pandas, PyTorch, scikit‑learn). Experience building ML/AI pipelines and using tools such as Kedro or MLFlow. Strong team‑player mindset, able to work under own initiative and prioritize effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated interest in improving your craft by using AI. Bonus Skills Deep understanding of SaaS business metrics and growth drivers. Experience with FinTech concepts. Experience with large user‑behavior data sets. Experience with NLP and LLMs. Graduate degree in a relevant quantitative discipline (computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering). Compensation & Benefits The full salary range for this role is $136,000 to $184,000 CAD. Benefits include competitive salary, top‑tier health, dental, and vision insurance; hybrid work environment with minimum two office days per week in selected locations; flexible time‑off policy; $2,000 annual counseling benefit; RRSP matching and RESP contribution; and a recognition program.
