Join to apply for the Designer - Architectural Solutions role at Contemporary Office Interiors Ltd. The Role We believe in the power of diversity and teamwork. This full‑time position is based in our impeccably designed office in Calgary. You will work largely from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours as projects demand. We are looking for a DIRTT Designer who is part artist, part visionary, part engineer, and part computer‑tech wizard. Your role is to take our clients’ needs and ideas from concept to realization, delivering innovative, sustainable solutions. Provide clients with an innovative and unique experience from initial meeting to final walkthrough. Create inspiring spaces that wow all stakeholders. Understand the scope of work on site and stay up to date with all project details. Design client projects using ICE® software, populating the DIRTT space from scratch or from a pre‑designed AutoCAD™ plan. Translate 2D plans into 3‑D renderings and/or Virtual Reality walkthroughs. Collaborate with clients, sales teams, project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other designers. Review all production information and drawings for accuracy. Organize and submit orders in conjunction with the project manager. Growth opportunities exist as the company expands. AND YOU HAVE Related post‑secondary diploma/associate degree in interior design or a related discipline (required). Professional or industry‑specific designation(s), licenses, and/or certificates such as WELL, NCIDQ, ARIDO (considered assets). Additional certifications may be required depending on project demands. Previous experience working in an architectural and/or interior firm. Experience designing commercial spaces. Strong knowledge of interior design/architectural field and current practices. The ability to read construction documents and specifications. Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD and other 3‑D software. A degree or diploma in design or architecture. Knowledge of COI’s contract furniture lines, architectural walls and commercial flooring (asset). Knowledge of DIRTT’s solutions (asset). A passion for creating exceptional spaces and awe‑inspiring places. Previous industry work experience – Contract Furniture Industry, Kitchen design, Furniture Manufacturer, Interior Design, Architect – is an asset.
