Senior Manager, SR&ED Tax responsibilities include: Support the strategic management and expansion of the National SR&ED practice Serve as the primary liaison with the CRA and oversee CRA audits related to SR&ED Guide teams in understanding all aspects of SR&ED policies and administration, focusing on financial and tax matters Manage client engagements, ensuring accurate preparation, comprehensive reviews, and finalization of detailed summaries that reflect incurred SR&ED expenses Collaborate with tax and assurance teams to prepare and review SR&ED tax incentive entries for claims Coach, mentor and develop the performance of junior team members About Doane Grant Thornton If you’re a bit like us, you’re driven to connect with how others are feeling and thinking. Learn more about who we are and how we live our purple every day : Qualifications & What we’re looking for Be Professional – You have excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to convey ideas clearly, and the capability to manage multiple priorities. Professional and personal demeanor with strong client service and interpersonal skills; self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn Be Curious – An interest in technology and science is key; our clients are among the most technologically advanced Be Collaborative – Work as a national team across locations; document and support clients’ research and development processes; collaborate across levels to complete SR&ED tax incentive claims Be Diligent – Deadlines, confidentiality, and impact on the Canadian economy are important; ensure we capture every eligible aspect of work performed CPA designation Minimum 8 years of experience in an SR&ED consulting environment Previous coaching/mentoring experience Proficient with Excel, Taxprep and Profile software At Doane Grant Thornton we’re focused on making a difference in the lives of our clients, our colleagues and our communities.
